What is OWWA’s Skills for Employment Scholarships?
The Overseas Welfare Administration (OWWA) is the government agency working to protect and promote the welfare of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and their dependents.

OWWA provides training scholarships to qualified OWWA members and their beneficiaries. Informatics is a preferred training partner of OWWA, teaching practical career skills for local and international employment.

Courses:

1. Computer Hardware Servicing – A scholar will learn the Intro to Networks and PC Troubleshooting that will lead him o her to be employed as a Computer Technician.
2. Computer Programming – A scholar will learn Program Logic Formulation, C Programming and Java Programming that will lead him or her to be employed as a C Programmer and Java Programmer.
3. Web Design – A scholar will learn Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Dreamweaver and Adobe Flash that will lead him or her to be employed as a Web Designer and Graphic Artist.
4. Technical Drafting – A scholar will learn AutoCAD Module 1 and AutoCAD Module 2 that will lead him or her to be employed as an AutoCAD Operator.

Higher Education Program:

3-Year Bachelor Degree Programs
*BS in Information Technology, BS in Computer Science, BS in Information Management, BS in Computer Engineering, BS in Business Administration major in Marketing

2 – Year Diploma in Computer Studies

Who Can Avail of the OWWA Scholarship Programs

*An active OFW member

*A beneficiary of a married OFW: the spouse, a child 20 years & below, single, at least High School graduate

*A beneficiary of an unmarried OFW: a sibling 20 yeas & below, single, at least HS graduate
